Student Pastor

Relationships are an important part of the Student Ministry at Second Baptist Church. To help facilitate relationships, there are three things the Student Ministry is built on Worship - Life - Serve.

Worship

We were created to worship and glorify God. We encourage the student to be a part of worship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

LIFE

It is very important for us to go through life with the students, and be an extended family for them. To support them, help them, and encourage them in God’s truth. We want all student to be a part of our LifeGroups on Sunday mornings, Small groups during Wednesday Worship, and join in on all of our special events.

Serve

Jesus tells us in Mark 10:45 that He came to serve the world, and we believe we are also called to serve. Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for the students to serve locally. Through these service projects, students build relationships with each other while also living out their faith.

Acts 2:42-47

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
